How many of us are currently experiencing an energy shift? During these times one can sometimes feel rather emotionally overwhelmed. I sometimes find myself submerged in a broken self integrity and self doubt. So how do you move from one state of being to another state of being without the emotional whirlwind?
The secret is really where you place your focus or attention. Similar to what the teachers advocate in The Secret, it is where we focus our attention that really matters. If you only see pain and sorrow in our lives, then it is that we experience, but if we focus on the good things then it is the good things that we get to experience. Have you ever hurt yourself falling over as a kid and your mum quickly diverts your attention from your scratched and bleeding knee to say a bird that is chirping away on a branch of a tree? What happens? We forget that we are “in pain” because we become so immersed in something else that we no longer feel the pain.
